I once was not so suck at javascript!

But with much cussing, I've gotten lj instant tag to work on insane journal. It's quite a nice script and much handier than lj's default method of allowing tagging, IMHO, so here it is with my changes

If so, you may want to skip this post, but for others, there is a beta version of a tool that in addition to migrating journals will migrate communities (with some degree of fidelity) from one journaling service to another, here, by antennapedia.

I think that it's got to the point where most people no longer see LJ as viable central hub for fandom in the long term, or at least, most of those who are going to reach that conclusion already have.

Our alternatives? Why not think big:

Yesterday I told Jack that I was hovering at the edge of a "separating the sheep from the goats" joke (it's funnier, depending on your religious upbringing) and ze illustrated it for me beautifully! You can see the way fandom is bunching together, and although the sheep look adorable, they also look rather peeved, and even somewhat dangerous!
